What you Expect

Your journey begins at 7:00 AM at the foothills of the mountain near Pura Malen. Starting at an elevation of 1,100 meters, you will breathe in the crisp morning air as you enter the dense canopy. The ascent takes approximately 4 hours, winding through rich Batukaru hiking trails where the biodiversity is as impressive as the incline. Your guide will lead you through the verdant wilderness, sharing insights about the local flora and the spiritual significance of this sacred volcano.

By midday, you will reach the summit at 2,276 meters. Unlike other peaks, Batukaru offers a peaceful, meditative atmosphere. To celebrate your climb, we provide a traditional "Summit Tea Service." Relax with a steaming cup of Balinese coffee or tea, accompanied by an assortment of traditional Balinese snacks and fresh local fruits, all while taking in the panoramic views of central Bali and the distant coastline.

To ensure you see as much of the mountain as possible, the descent follows a different path toward Pura Batur Sari. This 3-hour trek down reveals different perspectives of the mountain's rugged beauty and lush vegetation. Your expedition concludes at approximately 2:00 PM at the temple base, leaving you with a profound sense of accomplishment and a deeper connection to Bali's natural heritage.
